Employment Opportunities for Licensed New York Psychologists and Clinical Social Workers

Behavioral Medicine Associates (BMA) of New York pioneered the integration of behavioral health care with primary medical treatment.

BMA has been treating injured workers in NY State for over 25 years. BMA is the largest and most experienced provider of behavioral healthcare for this patient base.  BMA clinicians are well-versed in evidence-based treatments that are effective in enabling injured workers to overcome the psychological consequences of their injuries.  The demand for our services is strong and we see over 2500 new patients per year.  We provide a wide variety of clinical treatment modalities to meet the needs of all patients that are referred.  In addition to strong electronic health systems to support you, our clinical team will aid in collective learning and education.

BMA offers an excellent opportunity for licensed clinical psychologists and licensed clinical social workers at any level to join the team.  The clinical team has worked together for many years and continues to grow.  BMA has sophisticated technology and tools in place for clinicians to succeed and flourish professionally, as well as a user-friendly and effective electronic medical records system for clinician notes, charting and billing.

BMA offers a flexible working environment.  Clinicians work independently either via telehealth or in-office depending on needs and availability.  Clinicians can choose to work as few as two full days per week or up to five days a week.  Clinicians may choose to be compensated on a per per-patient basis or salary.  Compensation is commensurate with experience and is highly competitive.  Additional benefits are available.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Valid New York State license
  • New York State Workers’ Compensation Board authorization number can be obtained upon acceptance of an offer and is required prior to commencement of work.
